Sixtieth Anniversary Celebration Endowment Fund

The culmination of our Sixtieth Anniversary Celebration will be our Second Annual Swedish Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, December 1st at the International Maritime Center. At that time we will be collecting gifts for the Seafarers Ministry of the Golden Gate Foundation.

The foundation was established a few years ago as a separate organization with the sole purpose of funding the Seafarers Ministry of the Golden Gate. This fund is beginning to grow with recent memorial donations being added to the Foundation assets.

It is our hope that our 60th Anniversary Celebration can give the Foundation an extra nudge. We are encouraging you to give a special gift to the Foundation between now and December 1st. You will receive more information about this in the future in the “Ship Ahoy!” and on our website. Perhaps you can make this one time extra gift of $60, $600 or $6,000 to mark our 60 years of ministry and encourage us for the next 60 years.

Have You Put the Seafarers Ministry in Your Estate?

In the last “Ship Ahoy!” we encouraged you to remember the Seafarers Ministry of the Golden Gate Foundation in your planned giving. If you have already named the Seafarers Ministry of the Golden Gate Foundation in your will, we would like to know so that we can note it in our Foundation roster. You can be named or be anonymous in the “Ship Ahoy!” newsletter or on the website, however, we would like to know your bequest and name.

Sincerely,

Charles Fender, Foundation President
